EDISON, NJ - A total of 31 athletes comprise the 2001 MAAC Men's Soccer All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution, be a significant starter or reserve and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Rider University led all schools with seven members named to the team. Canisius College was second with six student-athletes. Iona College had five athletes, while Fairfield University, Marist College and Siena College each had three student-athletes. Loyola College and Manhattan College rounded out the team with two athletes each.
