Luis Flores, Manhattan
Sophomore, Guard, 6-2, 175, New York, NY/Norman ThomasFlores, a sophomore guard, earns his third weekly award this season after helping the Jaspers win their first Footlocker/MSG Holiday Festival title since 1973. He netted a game-high 21 points in the win over Fordham, while adding seven rebounds, four assists and one steal. Flores then posted 16 points, including a perfect 8-for-8 from the charity stripe, in the championship game against Iona. He also registered six boards and five assists versus the Gaels. For the tournament, Flores averaged 18.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game to earn MVP honors. He is currently second in the league in scoring, averaging 19.6 points per game. He is also fourth in the MAAC in free throw percentage, connecting on 86.9 percent of his attempts from the line (53-61) and eighth in the conference in steals with 2.10 an outing for the Jaspers.

Jason Benton, Manhattan
Sophomore, Center, 6-6, 240, New Haven, CT/Wilbur Cross
Benton, a sophomore center, wins his second award this year after helping the Jaspers win the 2001 Footlocker/MSG Holiday Classic. He registered eight points, eight rebounds and one block in Manhattan's win over Fordham. He then recorded two points, one rebound and one steal in just 12 minutes of action against Iona. Benton shot 71.4 percent from the field for the tournament (5-7).
