Scanlon recorded 16 points this week helping Canisius to its best start in program history. Against Binghamton Scanlon scored five goals and added an assist for a six point game. Scanlon contributed another six point effort in Canisius' 10-5 win over Ohio-Wesleyan, scoring two goals and assisting on four others.

MAAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
KELLY BARBER, NIAGARA

Barber played four outstanding games for the Purple Eagles last week. In a 18-0 rout of Saint Francis (PA) Barber caused three turnovers and captured six ground balls. Against Binghamton Kelly caused another three turnovers and fielded two ground balls, helping Niagara to a 19-1 victory. She leads the team in ground balls (13) and caused turnovers (13).

MAAC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
BRANDI PETERSON, MARIST
Fr., A, Syracuse, NY
Peterson tallied four goals and one assist in Marist' first game of the year against Howard, helping the Red Foxes to a 11-3 victory. Peterson also added an assist in Marist's 11-7 win over Central Connecticut State. She had eight goals and two assists on the week.
