Manhattan College to Play Georgetown in First Round of NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament

The Manhattan College men's lacrosse team will head to Newark, DE to face fifth-seeded Georgetown University at 12:00 PM Sunday, May 12 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament held at the University of Delaware NCAA officials announced Sunday evening. Manhattan defeated Mt. St. Mary's 9-8 Saturday afternoon to capture its first-ever Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship and earn the conference's first-ever automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. MAAC member Fairfield University will take on the Minutemen of UMass in their first-ever NCAA Tournament game at Brown University. Fairfield reaches the tournament after winning the Great Western Lacrosse League Title, earning the league's automatic bid. The game will be played this Saturday May 11, at Brown Stadium in Providence, RI. Game time will be at either 12 noon or 3 pm.
