Flores, Clark Earn Men's Basketball Weekly Honors

MAAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

LUIS FLORES, MANHATTAN
Junior, Guard, 6-2, 195, New York, NY/Rutgers

Flores, a junior guard, led the Jaspers in scoring in two wins this past week, averaging 22.0 points per game. He tallied a season-high 25 points against Sacred Heart at the Westchester County Center and was named Most Valuable Player of the game. He then scored 10 of his 19 points in the second half to lead Manhattan to a come-from-behind win over Loyola. Flores also dished out a team-high eight assists and picked off four steals in the two games. For the week, he shot 47.2 percent from the field and 72.7 percent from the line.

KEYDREN CLARK, SAINT PETER'S
Freshman, Guard, 5-8, 165, New York, NY/Rice

Clark, a freshman guard, scored 44 points (26 in the second half) to lead Saint Peter's to a 94-85 victory over Saint Francis (NY). For the game, he shot 56.5 percent from the floor and 89.5 percent from the charity stripe. His 44 points were the most ever scored by a Saint Peter's player at Yanitelli Center. With the Northern Arizona game (48 points), Clark became the first player in school history to post back-to-back 40-point games and only the second to have more than one 40-point game in a season. He is currently leading the league in scoring, averaging 30.8 points per game, and three-point field goals, netting 16 so far this season.
