Lawrenceville, NJ - The Niagara University men's basketball team travels to Lawrenceville, NJ, to take on Rider University on Sunday, January 26. Game time is slated at 4:00 p.m., and will be broadcast live on the MSG Network and the Empire Sports Network.

This is also the first meeting between the two schools this season, with the Purple Eagles holding a 7-5 advantage in the all-time series with the Broncs.

Niagara is currently in fifth place in the MAAC with a league mark of 4-3 and is 8-8 overall. The Purple Eagles are led by sophomore forward Juan Mendex, who is contributing 17.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per game, and junior guard Tremmell Darden, who is averaging 16.7 points and 5.9 boards per game.

Rider is in ninth place with an 1-6 record in the MAAC and 6-10 overall. Sophomore guard Jerry Johnson is pacing the Broncs this season with his 17.9 points and 2.9 assists an outing, while fellow sophomore guard Robert Taylor is registering 12.9 points a night.
