Dillon announced that Peter Osmond has been named the new cross country coach at the school. Osmond will serve as the coach for both the men and women?™s programs this fall.Osmond previously served as an assistant cross country coach at Mott College in Flint, Mich., during the 2001 and 2002 seasons. While at Mott, Osmond was responsible for organizing practices, training advice and evaluating performance of the student-athletes. He was also in charge of various administrative duties for the program.Osmond is currently employed as a laboratory coordinator in the Department of Medicine at Millard Fillmore Hospital. Osmond oversees the Autonomic Function Laboratory at Millard Fillmore and performs research protocols on patients with hypertension and cardiovascular disease. Osmond received his master?™s degree in Exercise Physiology from Michigan State University in 2001 after working with the men?™s ice hockey and football programs in the evaluation of the student-athletes?™ fitness levels and their adaptation to training implemented by each team?™s coaching staffs. Osmond graduated from Buffalo State College in 1994 with a bachelor?™s degree in history.
