MAAC Offensive Player of the Week (11/1/04)

VINNIE PISCOPO, LOYOLA
F, Jr., 5-10, 165, Oakhurst, NJ/Ocean Township
Piscopo, a junior forward, scored the third game-winning goal of his career as Loyola defeated Niagara, 2-1, on Friday at Niagara. He then scored the game-tying goal at Canisius on Sunday, forcing overtime where Loyola won 3-2. Piscopo has recorded six goals and one assist for 13 points this season.

MAAC Defensive Player of the Week

PATRICK HENRY, SIENA
GK, So., 6-1, 185, LaGrangeville, NY/Arlington
Henry, a sophomore goalkeeper, posted a win and a tie, including his second shutout of the season, for the Saints this past week. He recorded 11 saves in 200 minutes of work. Henry currently owns a 1.65 goals against average.

MAAC Rookie of the Week

MURPHY WIREDU, SAINT PETER'S
F, Fr., 5-7, 160, Brampton, Ont./Monsignor Johnson
Wiredu, a freshman forward, registered four points in a 1-0-1 week in league play for the Peacocks. He scored the only goal in Friday's 1-1 double OT tie with Siena. Trailing Marist, 1-0, his goal in the 60th minute tied the game, forcing the extra stanza, where the Peacocks eventually won. Wiredu is now second on the MAAC scoring list with nine goals for 18 points this season.
