SHAUNNA AMBROSE, NIAGARA

Ambrose averaged 20 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.3 steals in three games. She also shot 65.5 percent from the field, 57.1 percent from three-point range and 93.3 percent from the free-throw line. Ambrose scored a career-high 25 points in Niagara?™s first win of the season. She then was perfect fro the field vs Eastern Michigan, making all six field goals, including a pair of three?™s, and six free throws. In addition to her second consecutive 20-plus point game, Ambrose had career highs in assists and steals in the game. She came off the bench against St. Francis (NY) to shoot 45.5 percent from the field and grab four rebounds. Ambrose was named to the Best Western Roundball Classis All-Tournament Team.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
LAURA MENTY, SIENA
6-1, F, Fr., Wilbraham, MA/Minnechaug

In her last three games Menty scored 40, collected 22 caroms and shot 14-16 from the charity stripe. Against VCU she was one of two teammates to finish in double digit scoring for the Saints and she was one of three players to finish with a game-high of seven rebounds. In a stellar performance against UT-Martin, Menty had a career-night posting her first collegiate double-double, she banked 20 points and 12 boards, while shooting 8-9 from the free throw line; along with a game high of three blocks. Against nationally ranked #14 Vanderbilt, she shot 3-3 (FTA), which was good enough to be named to the All-Tournament team.
