MAAC Announces 2006 Women's Swimming & Diving All-Academic Team

EDISON, NJ ?“ A total of 59 athletes comprise the 2006 MAAC Women?™s Swimming and Diving All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution, be a significant starter or reserve and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Loyola College led all schools with 12 members named to the team. Iona College and Manhattan College each had nine athletes named to the team, while Marist College added six members. Canisius College, Fairfield University, Niagara University, Rider University and Saint Peter?™s College had four student-athletes apiece selected. Siena College rounded out the team with three athletes.
