MAAC Announces 2006 Womenb (TM)s Basketball All-Academic Team

Edison, NJ ?“ A total of 54 athletes comprise the 2006 MAAC Women?™s Basketball All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution, be a significant starter or reserve and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Niagara led all schools with nine student-athletes, while Canisius and Iona each had eight members on the team. Saint Peter?™s added seven student-athletes to the team, followed by Marist and Siena, as each school had six members. Manhattan had five members of the team, while Rider and Loyola each added two and Fairfield rounded out the team with one student-athlete.
