PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Martina Weber, Iona
6-5, Sr., F, Bitburg, Germany/Ruhr-Universitat
Weber averaged 18.0 points and 7.5 rebounds to lead Iona to a 2-0 week last week. Against Bucknell, Weber registered a double-double with 13 points and 10 boards. Against conference foe Manhattan, Weber had 23 points, five rebounds and two blocks while shooting 8-for-11 from the field.

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Rachele Fitz, Marist
6-0, Fr., G, Seven Hills, OH/Trinity
Fitz tied for the Red Foxes' team high with 16 points in the 74-52 victory at Fairfield on Jan. 6. She hit 53.8 percent (7-13) of her shots from the field, and also pulled in six rebounds. Fitz had an assist, a block and a career-high two steals as well in just 21 minutes. Marist is 8-0 this season when Fitz has at least a share of the team's scoring lead.
