MAAC ANNOUNCES 2006 MEN's CROSS COUNTRY ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

EDISON, NJ ? A total of 50 athletes comprise the 2006 MAAC Men’s Cross Country All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution, be a significant starter or reserve and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Marist College led all schools with 12 members named to the team. Loyola College had nine athletes named to the team, while Niagara University had seven athletes. Iona College and Siena College both added six runners. Rider University had five runners. Manhattan College added three student-athletes, while Fairfield University and Saint Peter’s College rounded out the team with one athlete apiece.
