Siena advances to MAAC Volleyball Championship Final

Lake Buena Vista, Fla. ? The Siena College Saints took a 3-0 victory over Canisius College to earn a trip the championship match of the 2006 MAAC Volleyball Championship held at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex.
The Saints will face top-seed Fairfield University at 3:00 p.m. This is the second consecutive season that these two teams have met in the championship final. Last season, Siena edged Fairfield in five games to claim the championship.
Christie Gustafson led the Saints with 19 points and 10 digs. Burgandy McCurty added 10 kills, while April London had 42 assists. Mary Boller led Canisius with 10 kills.
Canisius will now move on to face Manhattan tomorrow in the championship consolation bracket at 10:00 a.m.
