Terre Haute, IN - The Iona College women's cross country team finished 20th at the 2006 Division I National Championship on Monday afternoon. Sophomore McKayla Plank placed 21st individually with a time of 21:14.3.
The Gaels, ranked No. 19 entering the race, finished behind just one team from the Northeast region, the Providence College Friars.
Salome Kosgei was second overall after 3K before falling back to a 53rd place finish. Emmily Chelanga came in 85th, Michelle Gallagher placed 183rd, and Tracey Williams finished 192nd.
