Niagara University's Bisnott, Montgomery Pick Up Postseason Accolades

NIAGARA UN., N.Y. ? Junior Brittany Bisnott (Brampton, Ont.) and senior Emily Montgomery (Oshawa, Ont.) were named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-North Atlantic Region Team. It is the first honor for both forwards.
Bisnott led the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference with 21 goals and 45 points in 2006, earning her First Team All-MAAC honors. In the MAAC Tournament, the junior totaled three goals, including both tallies in the 2-1 MAAC Championship win over Siena, Nov. 5. She ranked second in the nation in goals per game (1.11) and fourth in points per game (2.37). Bisnott currently ranks third on Niagara’s all-time goal list (49) and fourth on the career point chart (109).
Montgomery finished her Niagara career in the top 10 of the school’s all-time point, goal and assist charts. She ranks third in assists (24), tied for seventh in points (70) and ninth in goals (23). Her 2006 totals of eight helpers were tied for second in the MAAC, helping her earn First Team All-MAAC. She also landed fourth in points (26) and sixth in goals (9). Montgomery ended her career in the school’s first-ever trip to the NCAA tournament by scoring a goal in the 74th minute, tying the first-round contest with No. 2-seeded Penn State, 1-1.
