Jill Skotarczak, Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations

Jill Skotarczak was promoted to Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations in June 2006. Skotarczak joined the MAAC staff in October 2000 as Director of Media Relations.
Skotarczak is responsible for the publicity of all 24 sports and championships that the MAAC sponsors as well as handling all operations for the league's service bureaus. Additionally, she supervises the MAAC web site and assists in the administration of all MAAC championships and awards programs.
During her tenure at the MAAC, Skotarczak has served as media coordinator for the 2002 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships and the 2003 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball East Regional in Albany, New York, as well as the 2004 NCAA Division I Men's Frozen Four and the 2004 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball First and Second Rounds in Buffalo, New York. Skotarczak also served as media coordinator for the 2006 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball First and Second Rounds in Trenton, New Jersey.
In 2005, Skotarczak received the Met Basketball Writers' Association Mike Cohen "Good Guy" Award at the 72nd Annual NIT/ Basketball Writers' Haggerty Awards Dinner. Inaugurated by the Met Basketball Writers in 1987, the Mike Cohen "Good Guy" Award is presented to an individual from the New York metropolitan college basketball community who has been especially helpful to the media, along with striving to achieve better understanding and relationships among all area basketball personnel.
Prior to joining the MAAC, Skotarczak served as the Assistant Director of Athletic Media Relations at Providence College. At Providence she was the primary contact for women's basketball, softball and volleyball. Skotarczak was an integral part of 2000 NCAA Division I Men's Frozen Four at the Providence Civic Center.
No stranger to the MAAC, Skotarczak spent nearly two years as the SID at Marist and two years as an assistant SID at Iona College, where she was graduated from in 1996.
Skotarczak currently resides in Somerset, New Jersey.
