Modrov, Modrov, Coles and Mangona Earn MAAC Swimming & Diving Honors

EDISON, N.J. ? Rider University’s Brandon Modrov and Priscilla Modrov have been named the MAAC Men’s and Women’s Swimmers of the Week, respectively. Rider’s Chris Coles and Marist College’s Melissa Mangona have been named the MAAC Men’s and Women’s Divers of the Week, respectively.
Brandon Modrov, a senior, won the 100 breaststroke with a career-best time (58.64). The time puts him at the top of the MAAC for the 100 breast. He also won the 200 breaststroke (2:11.95) and the 200 IM (1:57.94). Modrov currently holds the number two spots in both the 200 breast and 200 IM in the MAAC.
Priscilla Modrov, a sophomore, won the 200 freestyle (1:57.11). She also won the 100 breast (1:08.67) and the 200 breast (2:26.55). Modrov currently ranks second in the MAAC for the 200 free and 200 breast.
Coles, a graduate student, won the two diving event in his first meet since returning after graduating last year. He won the one-meter (235.57) and the three-meter (266.77) events. Coles is a former two-time MAAC Championships Diver of the Year.
Mangona, a junior, won both diving events for Marist in a 139-90 win over Southern Connecticut on Saturday afternoon. She posted a win on the one-meter board (252.29), before taking the win in the three-meter diving (233.92).
