MAAC Announces Swimming & Diving Weekly Honors

Edison, NJ ? Rider seniors Brandon Modrov (pictured) and Lauren Urbanski have been selected MAAC Men’s & Women’s Swimmers of the Week. Marist junior Jesus Santos and Loyola senior Megan Sterback were selected Men’s & Women’s Divers of the Week.
Modrov was selected Swimmer of the Week for the second straight week after he won the 100 breaststroke in a pool record time of 57.97, won the 200 breast (2:08.72 and swam on the pool record breaking 200 medley relay (1:35.68).
Urbanski won the 100 butterfly in a pool record time of 58.35, and won the 200 butterfly in a pool record time of 2:06.24 and swam on the pool record setting 200 medley relay team (1:49.06).
Santos placed second on the one-meter board with a score of 242.33 on Saturday at UMBC. Santos would place third in three-meter diving against the Retrievers, posting a total of 228.45.
Sterback won both the 1- and 3-meter diving events against both Towson on Saturday and Iona on Sunday last weekend. Against Towson, Sterback posted scores of 216.22 (1-meter) and 228.07, while at Iona she scored a 217.05 on the 1-meter board and a 224.70 on the 2-meter board.
