Ledwith and Seguine Named MAAC Cross Country Runners of the Week

EDISON, N.J. ? Iona College’s Andrew Ledwith and Siena College’s Brina Seguine have been named the MAAC Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Runners of the Week, respectively.
Ledwith, a junior, finished second overall at the 2007 Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University. He ran an 8K time of 24:04 in his 2007 debut. After losing his right shoe about a mile into the race, the junior harrier ran the final nearly 6.5 kilometers with one barefoot and still finished second in the race. Iona finished eighth out of 41 teams.
Seguine, a freshman, finished third overall at the annual Fairfield Invitational Saturday afternoon. She clocked in at 19:44.11, marking the top MAAC finisher in the seven-team field. Seguine’s solid performance helped lead Siena to a third-place finish.
