MAAC Offensive Player of the Week
Aly Lo, Iona
M, Jr., 5-9, 155, Ridgefield Park, N.J./Bergen C.C.
Lo, a junior forward, totaled four goals on the week for an average of 1.33 goals per game in two wins and a loss for Iona. He recorded a hat trick, including the game winner, in the Gaels’ 4-3 win over Saint Peter’s. Lo also scored the game-winning goal, and the only goal of the contest, in a 1-0 shutout at Rider.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
Milos Kocic, Loyola
GK, So., 6-3, 190, Leskovac, Serbia/Vojislav Nikolajevic
Kocic, a sophomore goalkeeper, registered two shutouts, making five saves in wins over Fairfield and Iona last weekend. Kocic, who has not allowed a single goal in MAAC play, also picked up his first career assist in Loyola’s 2-0 win over Fairfield.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
Adam Catley, Canisius
GK, Fr., 6-3, 200, Toronto, Ontario/M.M. Robinson
Catley, a freshman goalkeeper, earned two wins in net last week as the Golden Griffins improved to 3-0 in the MAAC for the first time in school history. In the Griffs' 3-0 win over Marist, he posted his second shutout win in the last eight days after making five saves. Catley was also credited with his first collegiate point after he was earned an assist on Canisius’ first goal of the game against the Red Foxes. He made a total of nine saves last week to go with his 1.00 goals against average and his .818 save percentage.
