KATIE MANN, FAIRFIELD
MH, So., 5-11, Del Mar, Calif./Torrey Pines
Mann was instrumental in helping the Stags go 3-0 in MAAC play this week by averaging 4.27 kills on .430 hitting, along with six aces and 12 total blocks in all 11 games. Mann began the week with an outstanding performance against Iona collecting 18 kills, four service aces, four digs, and nine total blocks. She wrapped the week up with a great outing against Canisius recording a career-high 23 kills, a .571 attack percentage and two total blocks. In MAAC contests this season, Mann is hitting .440 and averaging 3.98 kills and 1.00 blocks per game. On the year, Mann is hitting .375 and averaging 3.72 kills.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
JESS STACKHOUSE, CANISIUS
Libero, Fr., 5-9, St. Charles, Missouri/Lutheran
Stackhouse had a team-best 49 digs in eight games on the weekend as she averaged 6.12 digs per game. The senior had 28 digs in the team’s five-game win over Iona and 21 the next day against Fairfield. Stackhouse has totaled at least 20 digs in six of Canisius’ last seven matches. Stackhouse also was a perfect 39-for-39 on service receptions on the weekend.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
AUBREY BOBO, SIENA
OH/MH, Fr., 5-11, Oneida, NY/Oneida
Bobo averaged 4.64 kills and 2.55 digs per game helping the Saints remain undefeated in the MAAC. Her marquee performance came against crosstown rival UAlbany as she posted 25 kills and 18 digs in a heartbreaking 3-2 loss that snapped the team’s 16-match winning streak. Bobo contributed 17 kills and a .441 hitting percentage in the Saints convincing 3-0 win over third place Loyola Saturday. On the week, Bobo had 51 kills, 28 digs and a .353 hitting percentage.
