BURGANDY MCCURTY, SIENA

McCurty averaged 5.08 kills, 1.17 blocks and posted a .551 attack percentage in three MAAC wins this past week for the Saints. She had 25 kills and was part of three blocks in the Saints 3-1 win at Marist. Over the weekend, she had 18 kills against both Niagara and Canisius, helping the Saints to their 12th straight victory. McCurty had just seven errors in 98 attacks this week, as Siena improved to a perfect 8-0 in MAAC play.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
ALLISON NIETERS, IONA
Libero, Fr., 5-9, St. Charles, Missouri/Lutheran
Nieters averaged 7.70 digs per game in Iona's two victories last week that improved the Gaels to 6-2 in the MAAC. She recorded 34 digs in the five game win over Rider and had 43 in the 3-2 victory against Manhattan.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
NINA CAMAIONI, LOYOLA
OH, Fr., 5-10, Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown
Camaioni led the Greyhounds to a 2-1 record last week, including their first win over Navy since 1998, a three-game sweep on Tuesday. Against the Midshipmen, Camaioni led all players with 13 kills. On Saturday against Manhattan, Camaioni led Loyola to another three game sweep with a match high 13 kills. Against Fairfield on Sunday, Camaioni put away 14 kills and reached the 30 dig plateau for the second time this season. Overall, she averaged 3.64 kills, 0.73 blocks, 4.09 points and 5.00 digs per game last week.
