Nicole Cavallaro, Fairfield

Cavallaro, a freshman forward, posted nine points in the two league wins for the Stags, with two goals and five assists. At Niagara, she scored the game winner early in the first half, with an unassisted goal. By halftime, Cavallaro had tied the school record with three assists, and snapped that mark in with her fourth assist in the second half.

Alicia DeFino, Manhattan
GK, Sr., 5-10, Mineola, N.Y./Wheatley
DeFino, a senior goalkeeper, extended her school-record run of scoreless minutes in net to 504:52 with two more shutouts in a 1-0-1 week. She has helped Manhattan post five consecutive shutouts, as the Lady Jaspers are in the midst of a five game unbeaten streak. On the week, DeFino tallied 11 saves, including nine at Loyola, and over 200 minutes of action.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
Kelly Farrell, Loyola
M, RS-Fr., 5-5, Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside
Farrell, a freshman forward, scored her first collegiate points in Loyola’s 9-0 win over Saint Peter’s on Sunday, coming off the bench to notch two goals and an assist. Farrell, who missed last season due to injury, drove a shot into the upper-right fourth of the goal off an assist from Lea Day in the 60th minute, then scored unassisted in the 83rd minute. She also assisted with a one-touch pass on Kristina Balfoort’s goal.
