Marist's Walsh-Thomas, O'Nalty, and Mangona Take Home Weekly Awards

Walsh-Thomas was named the MAAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week. Fellow Red Foxes
Devon O’Nalty and Melissa Mangona were named Men’s and Women’s Divers of the
Week, respectively.
Walsh-Thomas
had another big week for the Marist women’s swimming and diving team. She won the 1000 yard freestyle with a time
of 10:41.99, the 200 yard individual medley in 2:14.44, and the 200 yard
backstroke (2:11.57). She has now won at
least two events in each dual-meet this season for the Red Foxes (2-2, 2-1
MAAC).
O’Nalty won
the one-meter diving event versus Iona with an
incredible score of 292.95. It was the
senior’s best score of the year. He also
placed second in the three-meter event with a score of 257.25.
Melissa
Mangona continued her consistent winning in a dual-meet versus Iona. The senior
co-captain won both diving events. She
scored a 273.07 in the one-meter event and a 282.30 in the three-meter. In four dual-meets this year she has won six
times.
