MAAC Basketball Heats Up Highlighted by Rider's Trip to the Old Spice Classic

Basketball is in full swing with a number of high profile match-ups highlighted
by Rider University's trip to the Old Spice
Classic at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex.
The Rider men's basketball team will tip-off against NC State on Thanksgiving Day live
on ESPN2 at 2 p.m. The Broncs will then play on Friday against either Penn State
or South Carolina at either 10:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m.,
also on ESPN2. On Sunday, November 25th, Rider will face Villanova,
Central Florida, George Mason, or Kansas
State and will be seen on either ESPN2 or ESPNU.
MAAC schools will play three games against the Big East this week. The 3-1 Loyola Greyhounds travel to Newark, NJ to take on
the Seton Hall Pirates as part of the Philly Classic on Tuesday, November 20th
at 7:30 p.m. It will be the first ever night basketball game at the Prudential Center. Fairfield meets the Cincinnati Bearcats on Saturday afternoon and, on Sunday, Saint Peter’s will
play host to local rival Rutgers at the
Jersey City Armory.
On the women’s side, Marist makes a trip to Honolulu, Hawaii
for the Oahu Classic. The Red Foxes will take on Utah,
Nebraska, and Eastern
Washington. Loyola, 2-1 on the year, head to College Park for a showdown with the
third-ranked Maryland Terrapins. Siena will
compete in the 21st Annual Coors Classic against Colorado on Friday, November 23rd
and then either Clemson or Rice the following day.
