MAAC Women's Basketball to Tip-Off on Friday

2007-08 MAAC Women’s Basketball season will begin on Friday, November 9th
with six non-conference matchups.
The Rider
Broncs and first-year head coach Lynn Milligan will welcome Northeast Conference
(NEC) opponent Monmouth to Alumni Gymnasium.
The Saint Peter’s Peahens will look to get off to a good start against
the NEC’s Fairleigh Dickinson in Teaneck,
NJ.
The Iona
Gaels, led by Preseason All-MAAC First Team selection Tiara Headen, will make
the short trip to Stony Brook University
to take on the Seawolves, while 2006-07 MAAC Coach of the Year Joe Logan and
the Loyola Greyhounds begin the new campaign at home against Drexel University.
The
Manhattan Jaspers and the Canisius Golden Griffins open their seasons on the
road against Big East foes. Manhattan will face Seton Hall in East
Orange, NJ, while Canisius travels
to Morgantown
to face the 18th-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers.
