Benefit Show For Brian Dux Set For Friday

Buffalo, NY - Former Canisius College student and
Golden Griffins’ basketball star Brian Dux was seriously injured in a car crash
in Britain in November, and has been hospitalized with critical brain injuries
ever since.
Brian was playing
sports professionally at the time of the accident, after delivering an MVP
performance leading the Guilford Heat to win the British Basketball League Cup
final last January.
Brian’s
parents?honorary members of the Buffalo music community?have struggled to
support him through this ordeal, as expenses mount for the care of their
26-year old son. Friends and fellow musicians Five to One
are turning this Friday’s (Dec. 21) gig at the Sportsmen’s
Tavern into a benefit show for Brian. Admission is free, donations
welcomed. Music starts at 5:30 p.m. and will be
followed by the Stone Country Band, featuring Paul Zittle & Carl
Eddy, at 9:30 p.m.
