BRITTANE RUSSELL, CANISIUS
Sophomore, Guard, 5-5, Southfield, MI/Southfield Lathrup

Russell led Canisius with a scoring average of 24.5 in two games last week. The sophomore shot 42.9 percent from the field while also shooting 42.9 percent (6-for-14) on 3-pointers while making all 13 of her free throws on the week. The 5-foot-5 guard pulled down 13 rebounds in the two games while averaging 3.5 assists and totaling nine steals. Russell became the first Golden Griffin to score at least 24 points in back-to-back games since J?nel Stevens at the end of the 2002-03 season.

MAAC Rookie of the Week

ANDA IVKOVIC, IONA
Freshman, Forward, 6-1, Subotica, Serbia/Oak Hill Academy

Ivkovic was the stealth star of Iona’s 82-57 victory over Monmouth in the squad’s only game of the week. She quietly worked her way up to a contest-high and career topping performance with 23 points on the afternoon. Ivkovic shot 82% on 9-11 from the field which included 3-4 from behind the three point arc. In the win, Iona’s third straight at home, she also contributed one rebound and one assist. Ivkovic has averaged 13.7 points per game over Iona’s last three matches.
