McLean helped lead
Iona to the Bank of Hawaii Invitational title with two outstanding performances
that earned her a place on the All-Tournament team. In the opening round against
William & Mary, McLean had 16 points and nine rebounds on 6-for-8 shooting
as the Gaels ran out 76-69 winners. Against Hawaii in the championship game,
McLean posted a double-double (20 points, 10 rebounds) and added two blocks.
She went 7-for-10 from the field in the 91-69 victory.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
ERICA
ALLENSPACH, MARIST
Freshman,
Guard, 5-8, Miamisburg, Ohio/Miamisburg
In only her second
career start, Allenspach led Marist with a career-high 18 points in its 76- 62
win over Akron on Sunday afternoon. This was the first time she led the Red
Foxes in points since scoring 12 points in the season opener at Ohio State. She
pulled down a careerhigh seven rebounds and tied a career high with two steals.
Allenspach went 6-for-8 from the field, going a perfect 5-for-5 from the
three-point line. The freshman set career-highs in made field goals and made
three-pointers as Marist won its 12th game of the season.
