Siena Men and Women Maintain Lead after Second Day of 2006 JetBlue Airways MAAC Golf Championships

Lake Buena Vista, FL ? The Siena College men’s and women’s teams continue to hold on to the lead through the second round of the 2006 JetBlue Airways MAAC Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships at the Magnolia Golf Course in Walt Disney World.

The Siena men’s team registered a team score of 306 for day two of the 54-hole tournament, giving them a team total of 612. Bryan Bigley finished the day with a score of 73. Rider University (305-622) and Iona College (312-622) tied for second. Loyola College is now in fourth place (316-627), and Niagara University (305-630) is currently fifth. Canisius College (320-636) stands in sixth place, followed by Fairfield University (332-651), Manhattan College (334-664), and Saint Peter’s College (343-684).

The Siena women kept the lead after the second round of the 54-hole championship with a team score of 658. Melissa Agostinelli registered a score of 79 to pace the Saints. Fairfield recorded a team score of 711 for the first two rounds, with Courtney Richardson posting a team-high score of 84 for the Stags.

Both championships will conclude on Sunday, April 30, with the men’s tee times beginning at 7:52a.m., and the women’s tee times at 8:42 a.m.
