Lauren Venarchik Resigns as Director of Championships/Special Events

Edison, N.J. ?“ Lauren Venarchik has resigned as Director of Championships & Special Events, effective June 15.
Venarchik was promoted to Director of Championships & Special Events in June 2006. Venarchik joined the league office in 2005 as the Administrative Fellow for Championships.
Venarchik was responsible for coordinating all MAAC Special Events, including NCAA Championships and MAAC Championships at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex. She served as chair of the conference??s Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) as well as represented the league in the NCAA CHAMPS/Life Skills Program. .
Venarchik came to the MAAC from the University of Arkansas, where she served as the graduate assistant for the volleyball team and received her master??s degree in sport management. She received her bachelor??s degree in marketing from Rutgers University, where she was a starter for the volleyball team.
A national search for her replacement will begin immediately.
