MAAC Announces Additions to Staff

Edison, NJ ? Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Commissioner, Richard J. Ensor, Esq. announces the hiring of Dawn Anderson as Director of Championships & Special Events and Bob Schrumpf as Assistant Commissioner for Marketing & Sales.
As Director of Championships & Special Events, Anderson will be responsible for coordinating all MAAC Special Events, including NCAA Championships and MAAC Championships at Walt Disney World’s Wide World of Sports Complex. She will also be chair of the conference’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Anderson joins the conference office after completing a Sports Event Management Internship at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex. While at Disney, Anderson participated in the planning, organizing and managing of events, including Disney’s Martial Arts Festival, the Old Spice Classic, the Pop Warner National Cheerleading Championships and the KSA Wrestling Tournament.
She holds a sport management degree from Springfield College, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
In his new role, Schrumpf will oversee all current and potential Corporate Partners, marketing and promotional initiatives and the MAAC Television package.
Schrumpf comes to the MAAC from Cardinal Health, where he was a marketing/sales representative. Prior to working with Cardinal Health, he was the senior sales representative with Major League Baseball’s New York Mets. His responsibilities included implementing sales initiatives, marketing and promotion of special events, event management and sponsorship fulfillment. While with the Mets, Schrumpf was the number one sales rep with the highest revenue and new business generated.
His experience also includes stints with the New York Jets, New Jersey Nets and Positive Impact. Schrumpf earned a sports management and journalism degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
