Wiredu, a senior forward, scored both goals in Saint Peter's 2-1 win over Bucknell on Saturday afternoon. He opened the scoring in the first half with a goal, and then scored again in the opening minutes in the second half to get the Peacocks the victory.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
Steve Skonieczny, Siena
GK, Fr., 6-0, 185, LaGrangeville, N.Y./Arlington
Skoneiczny, a freshman goalkeeper, delivered back-to-back shutout performances against non-conference rivals Massachusetts and St. Francis (N.Y.), earning his first two victories of his collegiate career at Siena. He accumulated five saves over 183:45 minutes of action in net.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
Jim Bradley, Rider
F/M, Fr., 6-0, 160, Sewell, N.J./Washington Township
Bradley, a freshman forward/midfielder, scored two goals in two Bronc wins this past week. He netted the game winner in the closing minutes of Rider's 2-1 victory at Philadelphia. Bradley then scored with 42 seconds remaining in the game to give Rider a 2-0 victory at Saint Joseph's.
