Heibell and Dickhans Claim MAAC Cross Country Runners of the Week Honors

EDISON, N.J. ? Loyola College’s Chris Heibell and Niagara University’s Julie Dickhans have been named the MAAC Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Runners of the Week, respectively.

Heibell, a junior, ran a Loyola school record 25:03 for 8K and was 18^th overall at the Navy Invitational this past weekend. The meet featured nationally ranked Louisville and five regionally-ranked teams.

Dickhans, a senior, led the Purple Eagles with a career-best 18:29 en route to a 14^th place finish out of 306 runners at the National Catholic Championships hosted by Notre Dame. Dickhans eclipsed her previous best of 18:46 by 17 seconds, and her finish marked the second consecutive meet in which she placed in the top 15. Niagara finished 24^th out of 37 teams.
