MAAC Offensive Player of the Week

 

RAELEAN RUSH, NIAGARA

OH, Sr., 5-10, Amherst, N.Y./ Sweet Home

Rush pounded out a career-high 32 kills while hitting .400 in Niagara’s 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Rider on Sunday.  She also registered 21 digs to record her second-straight double-double.  On the weekend, Rush totaled 48 kills, 44 digs and seven blocks while hitting .319.

 

 

MAAC Defensive Player of the Week

 

KELLY OLIVER. FAIRFIELD

RS, Sr., 5-9, San Diego, Calif./ La Jolla

Oliver had a solid week for the Stags who went 2-1 to open MAAC play.  The right side averaged 4.10 digs, 3.60 kills, 0.80 aces, and 0.50 blocks per game.  In the victory against Saint Peter’s, Oliver notched her fifth double-double of the year with 16 kills and 21 digs. At Siena, she tallied 12 kills and eight digs.  Oliver wrapped up the week with 12 digs, three total blocks, a career-high six service aces and seven kills against Manhattan.   

 

 

MAAC Rookie of the Week

 

BRITTANY BORN, LOYOLA

LIB, Fr., 5-6, Ellicott City, Md./Archbishop Spalding

Born entered the 30-dig club on Saturday against Niagara, recording a career-high 33 digs in a win over Niagara.  She also had 39 service receptions with only one error.  Born finished the weekend with 52 digs (5.78 per game) and had only one reception error in 65 attempts.
