Murphy Wiredu, Saint Peter's
MF, Sr., 5-7, 160, Brampton, Ontario/Monsignor Johnson
Wiredu, a senior midfielder, scored the game-winning goal in the 98th minute in overtime at Lafayette to give Saint Peter’s the 3-2 victory over LaSalle, and assisted on another goal. The following day, he scored the game winner in the 94th minute to upend Lafayette, 2-1. Wiredu was selected to the All Tournament Team at the Lafayette Tournament.

Jon Paul Francini, Fairfield
GK, Sr., 6-3, 180, Oakland, N.J./Don Bosco Prep
Francini, a senior goalkeeper, picked up a shutout in the season opener against the University at Buffalo, making one save in 90 minutes of work. He followed with four saves in the St. John’s game, giving up one goal after facing 13 shots. For the week, Francini owned an .833 save percentage and a 0.50 goals against average.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
Phil Bannister, Loyola
F, Fr., 5-10, 156, Newcastle Upon Tyne, England/Monkseaton
Bannister, a freshman forward, scored one goal and added one assist in his college debut, helping Loyola defeat Princeton, 2-1, on Friday night in Princeton, N.J. He is currently tied for the team lead in points with three and game-winning goals with one.
