Flood, Menty, and Riddick Take Home Weekly Awards

LAURA MENTY, SIENA
Senior, Forward, 6-1, Wilbraham, MA/Minnechaug
Menty led the Saints in their lone game of the week, a 67-57 win at Loyola on Friday. Menty tallied a career-high tying performance with 28 points on a phenomenal 12-16 shooting (75%) in leading the Saints to their first MAAC road win of the season. Menty also went 4-5 from the free throw line and pulled down three rebounds as the Saints secured their first victory at Reitz Arena since 2004.
CAITLIN FLOOD, MANHATTAN
Senior, Forward, 5-11, Blairstown, NJ/North Warren Regional
In Manhattan’s 61-59 win at Saint Peter’s, Flood tied her career high with 27 points. This is her second time tying her career high in points as she also scored 27 against the Peahens in their match-up earlier this season. Flood was 9-15 (60%) from the floor and 8-9 (88%) from the free throw line. She grabbed seven boards as well as dishing out three assists in Manhattan’s only game this week. Flood’s 27 points gives her 1,196 career points, moving up to eighth place on Manhattan’s all time scoring list.

CHARLENE RIDDICK, SAINT PETER’S
Freshman, Forward, 6-1, Waterbury, CT/Chase
Riddick recorded her third straight double-double in Saint Peter’s 61-59 loss to Manhattan on Friday night. Riddick helped spark a 13 point comeback attempt for the Peahens with 12 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks. She has posted a double-double in the last three games against Rider, Siena and Manhattan.
