Manhattan's Jules and Vojinovic Selected as Indoor Track Performers of the Week

Edison, NJ ? Manhattan triple jumper Dexter Jules was named MAAC Indoor Track Men’s Performer of the Week, while fellow Jasper Marina Vojinovic earned the Women’s Performer of the Week award.
Jules, a senior triple jumper from Blackwood N.J., posted the eighth best mark in the country so far this indoor season, taking first place at the NYC Gotham Cup with a meet-record winning mark of 15.62 meters. With his winning triple jump, Jules qualified for the NCAA ?B’ Championships, as well as the IC4A Indoor Championships and the Metropolitan Indoor Championships.
Vojinovic, a freshman shot putter from Serbia, also set a NYC Gotham Cup meet record with a first place mark of 14.73 meters. That distance moved her into second place on Manhattan’s all-time women’s shot put list and qualified her for the ECAC Indoor Championships.
The MAAC Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track Championships will be held on Friday, February 22nd at The Armory Track & Field Center in New York City.
