Saint Peter's to Host Iona on February 1 on ESPNU

Edison, N.J. ? The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference continues its 2007-08 MAAC Basketball Television Schedule with Saint Peter’s College hosting Iona College on Friday, February 1. Game time is slated for 7:00 p.m. at the Yanitelli Center, and it will air live on ESPNU, the 24-hour college sports network.
Iona is currently 8-15 overall and 4-7 in the MAAC. The Gaels are led by senior forward Dexter Gray, who is averaging 10.7 points and 5.1 rebounds per game, as well as senior forward Devon Clarke, who is contributing 10.3 points and 4.3 rebounds an outing.
Saint Peter’s is now 4-16 overall and 1-9 in league play. The Peacocks are led by freshman guard Wesley Jenkins, who is averaging 12.7 points and 3.0 rebounds per game, and senior forward Todd Sowell, who is registering 12.3 points and 10.4 rebounds a night.
This contest marks the 95th meeting between the two programs. Iona won the first meeting this season, with a 69-50 victory at the Hynes Athletics Center on January 13. The Gaels hold a 50-44 advantage in the all-time series between the two schools.
