McCurty averaged 4.7 kills, 2.6 digs and 1.2 blocks
per set as Siena moved into sole possession of second place in the MAAC. In the Saints 3-1 win against league
contender Canisius, McCurty tallied 25 kills, six blocks and nine digs. She posted her 10th double-double of the season in Siena’s 3-0
sweep of Niagara, finishing with 12 kills and 10 digs. McCurty leads the MAAC with 4.34 kills per
set.

Camaioni led the
Greyhounds to a 2-1 week with victories over Navy and Manhattan and a close
five-set loss to Iona, recording double-doubles in all three matches. On
Tuesday evening at Navy, she had 10 kills and just one error for a .360 hitting
percentage, helping the Greyhounds defeat the Mids in three sets. She also
posted 14 digs and had an ace. On Saturday night against Iona, Camaioni had a
team-high 18 kills, two off her career-high, and 23 digs. Sunday against
Manhattan, Camaioni was at her best, logging a .355 hitting percentage and
ripping off 13 kills in a four-set match. She also led the team with 24 digs,
and she had three block assists in the victory. For the week, Camaioni averaged
3.42 kills, 5.08 digs and 3.79 point per set.
MAAC Rookie of the Week

Balmert continued her solid play this week, helping the Stags
to a 3-0 week while improving their MAAC record to 11-1. Balmert averaged 9.82
assists and 2.18 digs and collected 10 kills, nine total blocks, and four aces
in 11 sets. Balmert started the week with 37 assists and 10 digs for her sixth
double-double of the year against Rider. She also collected four total blocks
and two kills in the 3-0 win against the Broncs. In the 3-0 win against Saint
Peter’s, Balmert tallied 35 assists, five digs, four total blocks, and two
kills. In Fairfield’s 3-2 win against CAA leader Northeastern, Balmert was a
dig shy of a double-double, recording 36 assists and nine digs. She also posted
six kills on .500 hitting and two aces. Balmert was the catalyst to the Stags
late comeback in the fifth set against the Huskies. She sparked a 4-1 by the
Stags with a block, followed with an assist, and then stepped to the line to
serve three-straight points, which included two aces, to pull the Stags within
8-7. She assisted on the Stags set-tying kill and then on the match-winner. On
the season, Balmert is averaging 8.76 assists and 2.19 digs per set.
