Phil Bannister, Loyola
F, So., 5-11, 161, Newcastle, England/Monkseaton
Bannister, a sophomore forward, scored two goals and an added an assist in Loyola’s 4-2 win over Iona on Friday. It marked the third time in the team’s last four matches that Bannister had scored exactly five points in a game.
Matthew Durand, Niagara
F, Sr., 6-2, Melbourne, Australia/Bryant & Stratton
Durand, a senior forward, scored two goals and an assist this past weekend, as Durand upped his point streak to four games and 11 points. He now leads the conference with 12 goals, and is fourth in the nation in points per game (2.50).
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
Steve Skonieczny, Siena
GK, So., 6-0, 185, LaGrangeville, N.Y./Arlington
Skonieczny, a sophomore goalkeeper, allowed just one goal in two Siena wins this past weekend. He made nine saves, including a six-save shutout against Canisius Sunday afternoon. Skonieczny posted a GAA of .50 and a save percentage of .900, and the only goal he allowed was on a penalty shot.

Matt Turcio, Siena
F, Fr., 5-10, 185, LaGrangeville, N.Y./Arlington
Turcio, a freshman forward, assisted on the game-winning goal in Siena’s 2-0 victory over Canisius on Sunday. He drilled a shot that was saved by the keeper, but the rebound went right to Anthony Tagliaferri, who shot it in the open net.
