Four MAAC Men's Soccer Players Named to the 2008 Academic All-District Men's Soccer Teams

Edison, N.J. ? Four players from three member institutions in the MAAC were named to the 2008 Academic All-District Men’s Soccer Teams, selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and presented by ESPN The Magazine.
In District 1, senior midfielder Chris Nacca from Marist College was named to the First Team, while sophomore forward Joe Touloumis from Marist College and Tonna Egbuchunam from Iona College earned a spot on the Second Team.
In District 2, Loyola College sophomore forward Phil Bannister was named to the First Team.
As first-team All-District selections, both Nacca and Bannister will advance to the national ballot.
The 2009 MAAC Men’s Soccer Championship will take place November 14-16 at Tenney Stadium at Marist. Semifinals are set for 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14. The championship game will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, and will air live on ESPNU, the 24-hour college sports network.
