Mann powered Fairfield to a
2-0 week and their 13th straight MAAC tourney berth this weekend as the Stags
remained atop the conference standing with their victories. Mann averaged 4.11
kills per set on .537 hitting in nine sets. She converted 37 of 67 total
attempts, which included her 1,000th career kill, and committed just one attack
error on the weekend. Mann also averaged 1.00 blocks and 1.22 digs. In the 3-1
win against Marist, Mann tallied 15 kills on .600 hitting and did not commit a
single attack error. She also posted five total blocks, four digs, and two aces
and two assists. In the 3-2 win against Siena, Mann tallied a season-high 22
kills, one shy of her career best, on .500 hitting along with a season-high
seven digs and four total blocks. She had several crucial kills against the
Saints including the match-winner. Mann is the 10th Stag to reach 1,000 career
kills and is only the third to have more than 1,000 kills and 300 blocks. Mann,
who has not missed a game in her entire career, is averaging 2.79 kills and
0.82 blocks per set this season. She also leads the team with a .334 attack
percentage. In MAAC matches, Mann is averaging 3.31 kills on .390 hitting along
with 0.97 blocks per set.

Mendoza recorded 43 total
digs on the weekend (6.14/set), including a career high 31 against Loyola. On a
team that boasts three other players that recorded their 1,000th career dig
this season (first time in Division I NCAA history), Mendoza currently has the
highest digs per set total in Saint Peter’s history and is eighth all-time in
total digs.
MAAC Rookie of the Week

James recorded a
triple-double in Sunday’s victory over Iona with 50 assists, 18 digs and 10
kills. The rookie setter reached the 50-assist mark for the eighth time this
season while achieving a career-high 10 kills in the win. Overall for the
weekend, James had 11.0 assists per set and 4.5 digs per set. She needs 25 assists
in the final weekend to break the Niagara record for single-season assists.
