Anthony Tagliaferri, Siena

Tagliaferri, a junior midfielder, scored three goals in Siena's 3-2 double-overtime win against Iona to clinch the #2 seed for Siena in the 2008 MAAC Men's Soccer Championship. He scored the game winner, his third of the game, in the 103rd minute.

Justin Burse, Fairfield
GK, Gr., 6-4, 200, Louisville, Ky./St. Xavier
Burse, a graduate goalkeeper, picked up his fifth and sixth shutouts of the season in helping Fairfield earn the third seed in the 2008 MAAC Men's Soccer Championship by posting two wins over the weekend. He made six saves in a 3-0 win over Marist College, and followed with a three-save effort in a 3-0 win over Siena College. For the season, Burse owns a 1.19 goals against average with a .800 save percentage.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
Wade McHugh, Loyola
M, So., 5-8, 135, Baldwin, Md./McDonogh
McHugh, a sophomore midfielder, scored two goals in Loyola’s 5-0 victory at Rider on Saturday. With the win, the Greyhounds (17-0-1, 9-0 MAAC) capped off their first unbeaten regular season since 1986. McHugh scored the eventual game winner in the ninth minute from six yards out on a cross from Jamie Darvill. He then put Loyola up 3 -0 at the 14:47 mark, receiving ball on the right side of the box, beating his defender with a cutback to the middle of the box and sending the ball into the upper-90 of the left netting.
