Johnson, a senior midfielder, scored three goals, two of them game-winning shots, to help Fairfield earn the number two seed in the MAAC Championship.
Lea Day, Loyola
M, Sr., 5-9, Boulder, Colo./Boulder
Day, a senior midfielder, scored three goals, including both game winners, as Loyola won the MAAC regular season crown with wins at Marist and Siena.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
Brittany Henderson, Loyola
GK, Jr., 5-9, Commack, N.Y./Commack
Henderson, a junior goalkeeper, helped lead the Greyhounds to the MAAC regular season title with a shutout on Friday over Marist and a three-save game on Sunday at Siena. For the week, she made five saves and posted a 0.50 GAA.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
Jasmin Corniel, faifield
F, Fr., 5-7, Yonkers, N.Y./Gorton
Corniel, a freshman forward, tallied three points (one goal and one assist), helping the Stags to a 2-0 weekend and a spot in the MAAC Championship. She came off of the bench in the win over Manhattan and provided the Stags the equalizing goal. In the win over Saint Peter’s, Corniel assisted on a goal in the 5-0 win.
