KAITLIN GRANT, LOYOLA
Junior, Forward, 6-0, Elmont, NY/Elmont Memorial
Grant led Loyola with 19
points and nine rebounds, as the Greyhounds rallied from a 10-point second-half
deficit to defeat Bucknell, 61-52. Grant also tied for team-high honors with
two assists and two steals in the game. She was 6-of-12 from the field and
7-of-8 from the free-throw line. Grant scored 13 points in the first half,
including six of the first half’s final eight points to help Loyola go from
two-down to up six at the break. During the second half, Grant scored six
points during Loyola’s 16-0 run that helped the Greyhounds rally from a 42-32 deficit
to a six-point lead. Grant led the team in scoring for the second game in a row
and the third game this season. She also led the team in rebounds for the
fourth-straight game. She leads the team in scoring (14.2 ppg) and rebounding
(8.4 rpg) this season.

KRISTINA FORD, IONA
Freshman, Forward, 6-1, Fresh Meadows, NY/Notre Dame Prep
Ford averaged 12.7 points
and 7.7 rebounds in two wins and a loss for Iona this week, recording her
second and third career double-doubles. She recorded 12 points and 10 boards in
the team’s win at St. Francis (NY) to go along with three blocks, two assists,
and a steal. Her 13 points against Maryland-Eastern Shore was the
second-highest total of the day, and she added 13 points and 10 rebounds
against Western Michigan. Ford was named to the All-Iona Thanksgiving Classic
Team.
