Rachele Fitz, Marist
Junior, Forward, 6-0, Seven Hills, Ohio/Trinity
Fitz scored 24 of her
game-high 28 points in the second half to lead Marist to a 73-62 win over
Boston University at the McCann Center on Saturday. The junior forward made
8-of-11 shots from the field and tied her career-high with 12 free throws. She
also led all players with 12 rebounds. Fitz has scored in double-figures in 43
straight games, and has scored over 20 points six times this season. She has
been named MAAC Player of the Week three times this season.

ALI MORRIS, NIAGARA
Freshman, Guard, 5-8, Parkersburg, WV/Parkersburg South
Morris led Niagara with a career-high 17 points and a
team-high four assists in the Purple Eagles loss against the Big East’s
Syracuse Orange in the team’s only game of the week. Morris effectively ran the
offense well against an aggressive half court and zone trap. She showed a lot
of poise playing against the Orange and was able to break through several traps
and double teams to set up teammates for easy lay ups. Morris had a career-best
in field goals made (six), 3-pointers made (3), assists (4) and minutes
(29).
