Johnson, a junior forward/center, averaged a double double of 11.5 points and 14.5 rebounds in Fairfield’s 2-0 week. He tallied game highs with 14 points and a career-high 16 rebounds along with four blocks in the win against Drexel on Sunday, after posting nine points and 13 rebounds in a win at Fordham. In the two games, Johnson shot 58 percent from the floor (11- 19).
Chris Smith, Manhattan
Sophomore, Guard, 6-3, 200, Millstone, N.J./St. Benedict's Prep
Smith, a sophomore guard, scored a career-high 35 points on Sunday in a 70-60 win over Princeton at Draddy Gymnasium. He hit his first seven shots, including three 3-point attempts. Smith was perfect from the field for the first 16 minutes of the first half, and carried 18 points into the break. For the contest, he shot 70.6 percent from the field (12-17), 80 percent from 3-point range (4-5) and 77.8 percent from the free throw line (7-9). Smith also added two steals and a block.

Scott Machado, iona
Freshman, Guard, 6-1, 180, Queens, N.Y./St. Benedict's Prep (N.J.)
Machado, a freshman guard, was instrumental in the Gaels' 2-0 week, averaging 11.0 points, 7.5 assists, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.0 steals in victories over Long Island and Saint Francis (Pa.). He shot 57.1 percent from the field (8-14) and 77.8 percent from the charity stripe (7-9) in the two contests.
