Charron Fisher, Niagara

Fisher, a senior forward, averaged 35.3 points in three conference games, including a 45-point effort at Loyola on Sunday, the most points scored by any Division I player this season. The nation’s leading scorer shot 38-for-76 from the floor (.500) during the three-game span, and connected on eight three-pointers. Fisher started his scoring outburst on Tuesday, tallying 21 of his 31 points in the second half of a four-point win over Loyola. He scored 20 of his 30 points in the first half of Friday’s game with Rider, while recording his seventh double-double of the week with 11 boards. On Sunday, Fisher scored Niagara’s first nine points on his way to a 25-point half, and converted an off-balance, one-handed 15-footer to seal the win at Loyola. He also averaged 9.7 rebounds per game.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
Brian Rudolph, Loyola
Freshman, Guard, 5-11, 170, New Bedford, Mass./New Bedford
Rudolph, a freshman guard, averaged 9.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists during the week for the Greyhounds. He shot 35.0 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from three-point range and 80.0 percent from the free-throw line. Rudolph matched his career high with 12 points at Niagara, handing out seven assists with just one turnover. He did not take a shot from the floor against Saint Peter’s, but grabbed a career-best eight rebounds with seven assists and no turnovers in the win over the Peacocks. Rudolph set a new career-high in scoring with 14 points in the Niagara rematch, handing out five assists without a turnover. He averaged 35.7 minutes played during the three games and committed just one turnover during the week. Rudolph also made 12 of 15 free throws.
